Shaista Wahidi was born in the year of 1976 in Karachi, Pakistan to Ali Gohar Lodhi and Roshan Taj Lodhi. She has three brothers named Amir Lodhi, Tahir Lodhi and Sahir Lodhi. She is doctor by education and has completed her graduation on doctorate by later on she accidently got connected from the Pakistan media industry. She brother named Sahir Lodhi who is also connected with the Pakistan industry.

Shaista Wahidi got married to a person named Waqar Wahidi on 17th January, 1999. She has two sons named Shafey and Faiz, while she has a daughter named Eeman. At her peak time of fame Shaista married life was in trouble and she decided to get divorce from her husband which was shocking news for everyone. Finally she has divorced on 12TH October, 2012 and is living with her children.

Shaista Wahidi started her career as a radio jockey and after some time she became a TV anchor on a private channel and here she starts her career. First she host a program which emphasis on the real issues arising in the society with the live audience. After hosting many shows she was offered to host a morning show which was a breakthrough for her. Firstly Shaista started her morning show from ARY digital channel and got lot of fame. Later she joined GEO TV morning show named Utho Jago Pakistan. While hosting the morning show Shaista also appeared in a video song of Fakhir on March 2012. Awards won by Shaista Wahidi are:
