Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani singer. He is famous primarily for Qawwali, which is a devotional music of the Muslim Sufis. He also performs Ghazals and other light music. He is popular as a playback singer in both India and Pakistan. He is very famous and popular in both countries.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Early Life

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was born on 9 December, 1973 in Faisalabad, Pakistan into a family of Qawwals and classical singers. His complete name is Rahat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He is the son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan, nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who was very famous in all over the world, and grandson of legendary Qawwal Fateh Ali Khan. He was trained by his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the art of classical music and Qawwali.

Rahat is married to the daughter of Nusrat Fateh Aki Khan. They have a son named Shazmaan Khan and two daughters named Maheen Khan and Filza Khan. It was in news that Rahat is divorcing his wife and has a relationship with a model named Falak but Rahat oppose the news.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Professional Career

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was chosen by his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, for learning the tradition of Qawwali. In a very small of age he started singing with his uncle and father. At the age of seven he started formal training with his uncle and sings for the first time in public. From the age of fifteen, he was made as the integral part of the team of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan which was famous throughout the world. He has sung many Pakistani films playback songs and made his debut in Indian film playback singing in 2004 featuring the hit song Mann Ki Lagan.
